It works with Philips ® Ozone-free lamps with a wavelength of 254 nm. Ultraviolet radiation with this wavelength offers an extraordinary germicidal capacity on microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores.
The lamps have a special coating which captures radiation of less than 200 nm, thus preventing the formation of ozone in the air and extending the life of lamps until 9000h.
UV-C radiation is an air disinfectant solution that can help mitigate the risk of infection and has been used widely for more than 40 years. All bacteria and viruses tested to date (many hundreds over the years, including various coronaviruses) respond to ultraviolet UV-C disinfection.
The quality of the air we breathe has a great influence on our health and well-being. We are all at risk of contracting and spreading infections and diseases, especially in crowded public places such as offices, factories, shops, bars or restaurants, schools, and on public transportation.
UV-C lamps pose minimal risk if not used correctly. Maintenance should not be performed with equipment turned on. Eyes and skin must be protected to avoid light damage and serious injury to these parts of the body. See instructions for use.
We encourage customers to use caution when selecting equipment and request third party approval testing or other requirements as appropriate.
None of our equipment is intended to be used as a medical device, so it is not regulated under any legislation applicable to this type of device.
